The IT Project Management Blog at Today.com
Welcome to the IT Project Management Blog at Today.com, I’m glad you’ve found us. This blog will focus on matters related to IT Project Management, from cost analysis, feasibility studies and market research to project specification, team management, communication and quality assurance. My name is Brandy and I’ll be writing to you about my experience as an IT Project Manager working with domestic and off shore software developers.
I’ve been involved in a number of large projects, with endless budgets and breakneck deadlines, but I’ve also been involved in small, grassroots projects which center around the adoption and deployment of open source technology for use on high volume, high availability websites. Regardless of the size, budget and duration of the projects I’ve worked on, I’ve always walked away feeling like I’ve gained valuable knowledge and experience which will allow me to do an even better job next time.
Now that you’ve learned a little about me, I thought I’d talk a bit about some of the upcoming topics I’ll be writing about. I thought I’d start the discussions much like you’d start a new project. As with every job and experience, there will be things that I discuss here that may or may not be part of your role responsibilities, but for some project managers, the job starts in market research, feasibility and cost analysis, so that’s where we’ll start.
If you’ve got a question, comment orĀ you’d just like to drop me a line, you can do so by visiting the About Me tab at the top of the page.
